The fourth post for my Photo of the past Friday series, how exciting! Today I thought I would tell you all a little bit about the man in my life because he really is my better half. The calmer, diplomatic very zen better half of our duo. You see I'm quite the hot head and I rarely back down from confrontation but when I met Mr. M (I guess that's a good code name for him, he's very private) all that changed I've learned to be a bit more choosy of my battles and to just go with the flow of things, not such a bad thing ;)

Anyway hes a corporate gladiator  by day and by night hes just your average talented guy.  Here are some of the images hes taken over the years and a few from places near and far that hes visited.

Blog Header Designs

If you've been following me for a bit you know I've been playing around with lots of blog designs. Well even tho I love how my blog turned out I haven't stopped playing around in Photoshop. I'm pretty beginner at it but I really like doing tutorials for Photoshop and turning them into something that works for me. Over the past few weeks I've come up with these few designs using brushes and some different texture pieces.

The first two I made by following this tutorial the first one I followed to the letter and the second I just played around with the colors and different shapes that came in the brush sets.

The third I used a watercolor texture and then changed the color to my liking and added some brush elements to it.

Curly Sexy Hair Curl Power Spray Foam

Another product from my favorite Sexy Hair line, Curly Sexy Hair! I've been using this for quite sometime now and I have found that alone or in combination with my Soy Renewal and Curling Creme this gives my hair awesome soft curls. My hair is naturally curly but without product it turns into a frizzy mess!

With this a little bit of product can tame even the fiercest of manes. What I like to do on days I know my curls need extra hold is put it in when my hair is damp and then twist my curls into place and let them air dry. Yes I did say air dry! For me I get much more natural and softer curls if I let them air dry for a few on their own. Once my hair is pretty much dry I'll go over it with a quick blow dry at the roots and then smooth out the frizzy's with my flat iron (which I still haven't showed you guys, but I will!).

Here are some quick snaps of the outfit I wore on Sunday! We didn't really do much on this long weekend but that's okay because it was nice and relaxing. Later that night was the Golden Gate Bridge 75th anniversary so there was a fireworks show and we went down the block to get a better look. Lucky for us the weather was clear enough to be able to see them from my street!

OPI Pirates Collection Planks a Lot

 Just a quickie post today as I finish up the OPI Pirates of the Caribbean collection swatches! Only two more polishes to go after this.

This is by far my favorite purple polish ever! It goes on smooth and two coats is all you'll need. This is a the second color in this collection that is a bit more vibrant. I like this because it stands out!

Photo of the past Friday #3

It was 2010 and I had just started dating my boyfriend and came out here to SF to see him. He surprised me and took me to this crazy place called Teatro ZinZanni which is a dinner and show type place but the show is but a foot away from your table! They do acrobats, gymnastics, get on stilts all sorts of crazy things and they are so close you can literally touch them. It was a wicked good time and while the food was mediocre the show was totally worth it.
